The ABCs of Emotions and Me teaches children to identify their emotions and develop an "emotional vocabulary". By beginning this vocabulary in the formative years, it helps to raise their Emotional IQ, which is linked to both academic and employment success. This can be a great tool for opening a dialogue with your child about their emotions.
The ABCs of Nutrition + Me
“You are what you eat” so how do we teach children to choose the foods that will help them live healthy lives? By teaching them about nutrition. Lyrical rhymes and fun food facts accompany the letters of the alphabet displaying healthy foods in the colors of the rainbow. Since food is an important daily necessity, let’s begin by showing little ones what healthy choices look like. Enjoy!
My 4 year old loves the whole Healthy Me series. She has easily memorized the text and brings the books to school to read to her friends at circle time. She tells me what’s healthy and why, and this encourages her to try different things. I hope the author keeps adding to the series. They are a valuable tool for parents.
A charming book for educating toddlers and preschoolers about emotions. Our days begin and end in emotions. How nice to help young children understand they are not technology but are living beings with feelings. I applaud Ms. Quillen for writing such an educational fun tool. The graphics are. Exceptional!
We read this book to our students at our pre-school. The children really enjoy it and have learned a lot
Raising Your Child’s Emotional IQ
When children begin to understand their feelings, it helps them to grow emotionally. Helping our children to express their feelings in a positive and socially appropriate manner requires what is commonly referred to as an ‘emotional vocabulary’. By beginning this vocabulary in the formative years, it helps to raise their Emotional IQ which has been linked to both academic and employment success. It is with this goal in mind that I have written The ABCs of Emotions + Me. Please join me as I delve into each of the letters with their corresponding emotion for some practical insights on raising your child’s emotional IQ.
